24 hours are not enough!

red clockHow often now I am tempted to quote the french poet, Lamartine: “O time, suspend your light!”?

I cannot remember when was the last time I managed to achieve at the end of the day all the targets I have set up in the morning.

I laughed at my cousin who told me once that “twenty four hours are not enough!”. Actually, she was definitely right, twenty four hours are not enough anymore

What about you? I am surely not the only one who have this feeling.

Unless, to be Jack Bauer, in 24 hours, you might have time to go to Paris for an appointment, to come back in London and work on a project and finally deliver a report of 30 pages and who knows what else.

I have checked with my relatives, there is no one able to do it; they all complain about the time.

I keep thinking that “there is something going on there”, there is no way that all a sudden, we are busier than previous time. And now, we need extra days in order to complete what we have started some time ago!

It seems clear that I have to reconsider the number of task I have to undertake in my “to do list”.

I have now the horrible feeling that I became slave of the time.

And I even feel sometimes a kind of illogical pressure which make me feel rather frustrated and unwell than motivated.

At that point, I thought it did not make any sense to run after the time.

When, I feel too much pressure, I just stop.

A friend asked me last time: “what do you mean by you stop?”. I just stop what I am currently doing. I do not think there is two meanings to define the word “stop”.

I take a deep breath, I walk a bit and I drink a glass of water if needed. After that, I feel stronger, and ready to continue what I have started earlier.

Obviously, I am not talking here about not being able to manage my time but rather the willing to deal with more things and not finding time to do whatsoever.

And then, you realise that you do not take time for yourself; and your friends complain that they never see you and so on…

Since, I do my best to meet up my friends on a regular basis and to socialise a bit more as well.
